A full day of competition at The Padel Hub RG1
On Sunday, 7 December 2025, The Padel Hub RG1 hosted a complete padel showcase: 42 matches played from morning group stages through to an evening final — precision, pressure, and momentum, delivered without interruption. Across the day, eight men’s groups shaped the knockout draw, while the women’s event produced a statement of absolute control..
Eight groups. Sixteen qualifiers. One title.
The men’s competition opened with eight round-robin groups (A–H), where consistency was the first test. From there, 16 pairs advanced into a straight knockout: Round of 16 → Quarter-finals → Semi-finals → Final.
The defining detail: the margin for error narrowed fast. Tie-break finishes and match tie-breaks began to decide progression — the kind of moments where one volley, one return, one decision changes the day.
One semi-final delivered the day’s highest tension: Said Aleisri / Calvin Wyatt edged George Farrelly / Tom Farrelly in a match tie-break that extended deep into the limit — the win arriving only at 16–14 in the decider.
In the other, Calatayud / Fader advanced with a composed two-set performance over Andrew Churchouse / Alexander Meek, building their final with control rather than drama.
The FINAL. Pablo and Matthew
In the championship match, Pablo Calatayud / Matthew Fader completed their run with a straight-sets victory, holding their opponents to two games in each set. Efficient, clean, and uncompromising — the kind of finish that leaves no debate.
